Many tell us what to think. I ask my readers to be skeptical. Question me and others. 
I wrote this book because everyone is telling me how to fix America without even trying to find out how we arrived at the problems we have. My engineer’s mind could not stand it anymore.
My book is also a response to the dystopian narrative in the media. Every day, we get a dose of depressing pessimism: things are getting worse, and there is no hope of anything getting better. So I looked at that as an experienced problem-solving technician and a businessman. Some of my conclusions might shock readers, but the book is not about the recipes; it is about how to find them. Surprisingly, it could take much less than most Americans think to make America again a nation where the sky is the limit, and everything is possible.
In my youth in my native Poland, I was among the political writers who paved the way for change. In 1980, I wrote a book, “Could it be better in Poland?” As you might know, it is now much better in Poland than we ever dreamed of. So I can claim some credentials.
Language purists might notice that the title does not follow the Associated Press style of capitalizing all words in a title. In my view, capitalized titles, intentionally or subconscientiously, seem to be screaming at readers. I find this patronizing, whereas we need less lecturing and more conversation.
